 Auction Shipping

Pacific Galleries Auction offers professional in-house shipping for smaller auction purchases for your convenience. If you are out of state, we will include a shipping quote or a list of local third party shippers with your invoice. Please contact us if you prefer in-store pickup in Seattle. Lots picked-up in person will be subject to local sales tax. Winning bidders are also welcome to arrange their own shipping.

Larger items, furniture, very fragile, or large sets of items will require packing and shipping by a third-party like the UPS Store. Shipping, insurance, packaging and handling of purchased lots is at the risk and expense of the purchaser. For quotes, please see the list below for local companies’ contact information. The price of shipping is NOT grounds for cancelling a purchase. Please investigate shipping options before bidding!

International shipping is available. Please note local customs regulations and import restrictions before bidding. Pacific Galleries will not alter or omit invoices for customs. Size restrictions on USPS packages may make shipping of medium and large items (by third-party) prohibitively expensive. Please investigate shipping options before bidding!

QUOTES

Please send shipping quote requests for smaller, non-freight items to shipping@pacgal.com or call Pacific Galleries Auction at 206-441-9990. Please provide a zip code or state/province/country code for an accurate quote and allow at least 48 hours before the beginning of the auction. Pacific Galleries will offer combined shipping for multiple purchases when possible; however, combined shipping quotes will be calculated upon the closing of the auction. Larger items will require a quote from a third-party shipping and packing company like the ones listed below.

IN-HOUSE SHIPPING FOR SMALLER ITEMS

The cost of shipping can vary wildly depending on the final size (volume), weight, declared value, and distance the package has to travel. Seattle is nested in the remote northwest corner of the US; this means that it is in the farthest and most expensive pricing zone for domestic shipping to most major cities. Shipping quotes include the cost of new or gently used materials, handling, and insurance. International prices can be as much as 2x+ domestic shipping prices. Additional fees may be assessed for international purchases over $2,500 if US Census Bureau filing is required.

AFTER THE AUCTION

Please allow up to seven business days after payment for your package to be shipped. Domestic shipments are sent by USPS, UPS, or your preferred carrier. International shipments are by USPS Priority/Express or FedEx only (items exceeding size restrictions will require third-party shipping). Tracking information will be sent automatically by the carrier to your e-mail. Please contact shipping@pacgal.com for inquiries regarding the status of your shipment.

Note: US Federal Census and Customs laws require Pacific Galleries to include the ORIGINAL UNALTERED invoice with international shipments. Please do not ask to include your invoice or alter customs declarations. Additional fees may be assessed for international purchases over $2,500 if US Census Bureau filing is required. Be aware of your local import laws and restrictions; Pacific Galleries will not be held responsible for items seized by customs.
